In cooperation with Vanderbilt University, Austin Peay State University offers an 18-month program in diagnostic medical sonography. Students complete the first three years of study at APSU and, upon acceptance, complete the fourth year of their Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology through Vanderbilt University’s School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. In addition to receiving a Certificate in General Sonography, graduates will be eligible to apply for certification exams administered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

ADMISSION
Must be eligible for B.S. in Radiologic Technology upon
completion of program. Based on scholastic background,
personal evaluations and motivation: grade-point average
of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is recommended, but average above 2.5
will be considered. A minimum of a C in all core courses.
PROGRAM LENGTH
18-month curriculum program including six rotations; begins in
September

Due by February 15 of the year in which the
student will begin the program to APSU Director of Radiologic

TUITION
Vanderbilt’s program tuition is $9,900 for full curriculum
($1,650 per rotation). Payment plans are available.
