Psychology Major Requirements For Catalogs 2002-2003 and earlier (42 Hrs Required)

Forty-two hours are required for the major. No more than eight hours which count toward another major can be used for a major in psychology. Psy 1010 will also count toward the social science component of the liberal arts core. An approved minor is also required of those who major in psychology.

Group Social Studies Teacher Licensure: Students who complete a psychology major may qualify for a Group Social Studies Licensure plan. Students who also desire licensure in history, geography, government, sociology, and/or economics should contact the Office of Teacher Licensure or their advisor.

Additional Teaching Endorsement in Psychology: Students holding licensure to teach in history may add psychology to their licensure by completing the following: 1010, 3110, 3130, and 3280. Student Teaching may be required.
