Welcome to APSU! "Hello, Welcome to the I/O Psychology program website at the Department of Psychology, APSU. Our program is one of the first to be offered exclusively in an online format. What this means for you, if you’re admitted into the program, is the convenience of being able to study I-O psychology without having to move to Clarksville, Tennessee and without having to adjust your schedule to attend weekly “on-ground” classes. But we’ve maintained the quality and rigor you’d expect to find in an on-ground program. And we continue to incorporate the latest distance learning technology into our instructional approach to allow you to interact with both faculty and fellow students. Our goal is to make your participation in the program as educationally rewarding as possible. This webpage contains information for prospective applicants as well as current (returning) students. For applicants information about the admission process is available in the Admission button on the left panel. The admission page lists admission requirements, when and how to apply, graduate assistantships and visiting information. This concentration trains students in the theories and research methods of industrial/organizational psychology and their applications in work settings, such as industry or government. Depending on the interest of the students particular expertise can be developed in a variety of areas, including personnel selection, training and development, performance appraisal, motivation, team performance, and leadership.
