I-O Psychology at APSU

I received my PhD in Experimental Psychology with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from The University of Memphis. As an Assistant Professor of Psyc Science and core faculty member of the I-O Master's program at APSU, I enjoy teaching undergraduate and Master's students "on ground" and online. In addition to teaching, I have served on various campus, community, and local business projects through my work with APSU and the Center for Research on Women at The University of Memphis. I have worked on various applied projects related to highway safety, healthcare, and the U.S. Navy. My research interests include work-life interaction, stress, corporate social responsibility, quality of (work) life, and teaching in the psychological discipline. I also strive to promote the dissemination of timely empirical research to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health, safety, well-being, and work life.

Teaching

I currently teach:

I'm also available to mentor undergraduate and graduate independent research and internships on a case by case basis.

Research

My research lab is currently focused on work-life interaction in academia. More specifically, we are investigating various antecedents and outcomes (e.g., training, coping, conflict, stress, burnout) associated with the interaction between our work and non-work domains from the unique perspective of higher education students and faculty of all levels.

My lab is comprised of smart, driven, conscientious students who are eager and committed to making the most of their research experience. Interested in joining us? Undergrad and grad students are welcome to join the research team, but positions are limited! If you are interested, please email me directly to learn more.
