International Relations Minor

18 Hours

Required Courses (6-9 hours*)

  • POLS 3070, Theories of International Relations

  • POLS 4170, Power, Morality, and International Relations

 

Elective Courses (9-12 hours*)

Students must complete any three courses.

  • POLS 3010, Comparative Politics

  • POLS 3020, American Foreign Policy

  • POLS 3040, U.S. Defense Policy

  • POLS 3110, British Politics and Government

  • POLS 3120, European Politics

  • POLS 3140, Latin American Politics

  • POLS 3160, African Politics

  • MGT 4110, International Management

  • ECON 4610, International Economics

It is strongly recommended that students completing this minor take HIST 1220 (World History II) in the Liberal Arts Core.

The International Relations Minor can be completed with any B.A. or B.S. degree at Austin Peay State University.  Knowledge of a foreign language and study abroad are strongly encouraged

*Since POLS 2070 is also a requirement for the major in political science, students pursuing both the major in political science and the minor in international relations are required to take a minimum of four elective courses (12 hours) for the minor.
