The men and women of the Austin Peay State University Police Department are committed to serving the students, visitors and faculty/staff of Austin Peay State University by providing quality services within our community, and providing an environment where people can live, visit and work safely without fear.

Austin Peay State University Police prides itself on providing high quality service to the community and fostering an environment that encourages and promotes personal growth and excellence for our students and employees. Our greatest asset has always been you the Community.

We will successfully hire talented individuals from diverse backgrounds who are committed to serve you. They will understand the importance of what they do and have a strong sense of duty when it comes to protecting and serving the people at Austin Peay State University. Their efforts, hard work, and courage will be a great source of pride for our department.

Austin Peay State University Police will strive to meet and exceed the challenges facing us each and every day. To accomplish this, the department will implement several programs including a newly created Personal Safety,  Community Watch, Law and You, and Bicycle Safety to name a few.

I would like to emphasize that the Austin Peay State University Police Department will strive to hire the best and brightest officers and we will always seek candidates with outstanding qualities.
