TEAS Testing: McCord 336

TEAS testing conducted at Austin Peay State University (APSU) is intended for currently enrolled APSU students as well as students who are already admitted and planning to transfer to APSU. Starting with the Spring 2016 admission cycle, in order to register for TEAS testing at APSU, all students will be required to register using their APSU student “A” number (student ID) and APSU student email account. No student may register for TEAS testing at APSU without this information and no exceptions will be made. Students planning to transfer to APSU should start the APSU university admission process well in advance of TEAS testing registration in order to have access to their “A” number and APSU email address.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

When do we test?

Summer Dates: August 3 & August 5, 2015

Spring TEAS Registration will be open on June 15 at 8:00 am and close on July 15, 2015 (at noon). TEAS Dates: August 3, 5 2015

Spring Dates: April 13, 14, 15 and April 16, 2015 (TESTING for Fall is now closed)

Cost: $55.00

Please know, once the sessions are filled, additional slots are not possible due to the computer availability (limitation of seats).

The required examination may be taken once per application period.

  • 11 July: TEAS Writing workshop at 9:00 in MX 121. This is a 4-hour workshop.

  • 18 July: TEAS Science workshop at 9:00 in MX 121. This is a 4-hour workshop.
  • 25 July: TEAS MATH workshop at 9:00 in MX 121. This is also a 4-hour workshop.
  • 1 Aug: workshop at 9:00 -11:00 in MX 112. There will be no presentations. This time is strictly for answering any last minute questions that any students might have about how to answer questions.

Do you have to take the test at APSU?

  • If you live in the state of Tennessee we expect you to test at APSU.
  • If you live out of state please phone 1-800-667-7531
    to request assistance for taking the test at a remote site.

TEAS scores are valid for 2 consecutive application periods. We are now accepting ONLY TEAS version 5!

Please read the following carefully!

►Part of the application process is to complete the TEAS test and include the Individual Performance Profile page with your application. Click Here for an example page of the TEAS Individual Profile Sheet  that you are to include.

►Preparation: You are responsible for test preparation. Suggested options are:

  •  Study guide (ATI TEAS version 5) - can be purchased through and  through ATI at
  • Online TEAS® Tutor:  designed to help you learn TEAS exam content to ensure you score your highest using an immersive e-learning approach (must have Internet enabled tablet, laptop or phone)

Registrationreservations are done on a first come first serve basis. 

Please know, by registering, you are reserving a slot to take the exam that date and time.

An automatic appointment calendar will be used for registration - you will need to create an account if you have never made an appointment via this system. You must sign up using the link below. Appointments will not be made over the phone or via email.

DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS - If you require an accommodation it is your responsibility to arrange this through the Office of Disabilities on campus at least 2 weeks in advance of your test date so that the accommodation may be arranged. ►PAYMENT:  Please bring a credit/debit card with you to the examination. Payment by cash/check is not accepted!
              (Test: $Cost TBA subject to change)

►IDENTIFICATION:  Please bring a valid government issued id which contains your current photo, examinee's signature; and permanent address (driver's license or passport) with you to the examination. Military ID will not be accepted since it does not include the examinee's permanent address.

►Arrive by 7:30 a.m. for the morning test and 12:30 p.m. for the afternoon test on the date for which you registered for the test. (Campus map)

►Writing Utensils: Examinees are allowed two writing utensils. It is the students responsibility to bring writing utensils. Scratch paper will be provided by the proctor.

►NO CALCULATORS are allowed (either your own or the one on the computer)

►Test scores are valid for only 2 consecutive admission periods.

►Make-up tests are NOT provided for lack of following instructions.
