Govs Young Parenting Program (GYPP) 

This dyamic program met Saturday Sept. 13th 9:00am to 1:00pm to meet with each other and develop student and parenting skills. WE will meet two more times before the end of the semester. to join us please contact Martha Harper.

The program is designed to nurture students under the age of 25 who are tackling both college and parenting. Programs include development in both areas. Older student parents who are accomplished at this task, (GPA of 3.0+) are invited to mentor these young Govs!  For more information email Martha Harper.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame continues on Oct. 24th with a Gov's Volleyball Game and Pizza Dinner at the Dunn Center.

CoffeeBRAKES are open houses from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the ANTS Center (MUC 112) featuring guest organizations and departments that can answer questions and help you get involved. Come down to the Center for free coffee and Breakfast treats on the following dates. Food, while supplies last, no registration necessary.

This will be a weekly visit from the Library beginning on September 4, 2014.  A Librarian will be on hand to answer any research or study questions you have every Thursday afternoon from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. The A.N.T.S. center will be a great place to get started on that research paper!

Austin Peay State University has long enjoyed the advantages of having a large adult population on our campus and in our classrooms. The terms Adult Learner and Nontraditional Student have specific applications in higher education but they can be confusing, because after all, aren't we all adults? Aren't we all different and college is the place to be unconventional! So, what is a nontraditional student?
