VPAA candidates on campus this week

The Vice President for Academic Affairs Advisory Selection Committee has narrowed the list of applicants to four. All will be on campus for interviews and meetings with faculty and staff this week.

On Monday, May 7, Dr. Bruce Speck, dean of the college of arts and sciences at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke will meet with faculty at 10:45 a.m. the MMC concert hall. Others can meet him in that location at 1:15 p.m.

On Tuesday, May 8, Dr. Donald Curry, dean of graduate studies at MTSU, will meet with faculty at 10:45 a.m. in Room 147 of MMC. Others can meet him in that location at 1:15 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 9, Dr. Dan Lattimore, vice provost for extended programs at the University of Memphis, will meet with faculty at 10:45 a.m. in Room 147 of MMC. Others can meet him at that location at 1:15 p.m.

On Thursday, May 10, Dr. Gerald Ratliff, associate vice president for academic affairs at SUNY College in Potsdam will meet with faculty at 10:45 a.m. in Room 147 of MMC. Others can meet him at that location at 1:15 p.m.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to meet with as many applicants as possible and to share with members of the Advisory Committee their assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate.

The Committee will meet May 11 at 10 a.m. to narrow its selection to at least two applicants, from which Dr. Hoppe will choose the next vice president for academic affairs.
