Some enchanted evening. (Make that two enchanted evenings.)

October 9, 2000

“Annie Get Your Gun,” “Kiss Me, Kate,” “The Music Man” and a special salute to composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. With songs from some of American's greatest Broadway musicals, and vocals from the unbelievably talented members of the University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, October 14 and 15 will without doubt be evenings of enchantment.

The fast-paced musical event is part of Austin Peay's Homecoming Celebration and will include cameo appearances by Sharon Mabry, Allen Henderson, Valerie Oyen-Larsen and Thomas King—all members of the voice faculty.

The orchestra will be under the direction of David Steinquest, APSU professor of music. Vocal performers will be directed by George L. Mabry. The show starts at 7:30 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday.

Tickets are $12 ($10 for groups of 10 or more, so get your whole department together and save some bucks). After all, how often can you buy an evening of enchantment for $12! Call 7876 for reservations.
