Here are the top events happening this week at Austin Peay
This week's highlight will come on Sunday when the Mud Bowl mucks up the campus.
Every fall, student teams compete in volleyball in the mud. This year's Mud Bowl is noon-5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Dunn Center lawn. It's free and open to the public.

Artist Wendy Red Star will give a public lecture 6 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Art + Design building. A reception will be noon the same day at The New Gallery in Art + Design. Red Star’s exhibit opened Oct. 1 and continues through Oct. 26 at The New Gallery. All events are free and open to the public.

High school seniors are welcome to this open house event that allows guests to tour campus and meet with professors and current students. Application fees will be waived for students during the event.
The day begins at 11 a.m. in the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center, and guests can stick around for a tailgate party and free admission to the 6 p.m. football game against Tennessee State.

Up next for the Govs is Tennessee State in this week's OVC Game of the Week on ESPN3. In addition to being the OVC Game of the Week, Saturday's contest is also Family Weekend at Fortera Stadium, and it is an opportunity for the Govs to get back into the Sgt. York Trophy race, as it is the second matchup of the season to determine this year's winner.
