Austin Peay’s Foy Center hosting 8th Annual Breast Cancer 5K

Clarksville, TN. - The Austin Peay State University Foy Fitness and Recreation Center will host the 8th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K at 9 a.m. on Oct. 20. The race, which will take place on the Austin Peay campus, allows participants to either run or walk at their own pace.

Strollers are welcome, so families are encouraged to come help support a good cause.  A portion of the event’s proceeds will go to the YMCA After Breast Cancer (ABC) Program.

The cost is $20 for current APSU students and $25 for everyone else. Children 10 and under are free and do not need to register. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, friends, family and the Clarksville community. There will be games, music and refreshments waiting at the finish line of this timed event.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers at 9:45 a.m. on race day. Participants will be able to pick up their packets the day before and the morning of the race.
