New APSU exhibit "More Cowbell" presents best of student work

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Some of the more innovative and exciting works created by Austin Peay State University art students this year will be on display at the end of the month as part of the 2012 Spring Student Exhibition, titled “More Cowbell.”

The exhibit opens with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 26, and runs through April 12 in the Trahern Gallery. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

Art students from all media and all classes submitted works and were juried by APSU Gallery Director Paul Collins. This multidisciplinary show will feature more than 70 works by students in ceramics, painting, art education, photography, video, animation, drawing, printmaking and design.

“It’s so inspiring to see such beautiful works made by students in so many media and from all levels of our classes,” Collins said.
