Languages and literature event nourishes body—and soul

November 26, 2002

"Bread and Words," the annual benefit reading to fight hunger, will be held at 6 p.m., today, in Java City.

Members of the department of languages and literature faculty will provide a simple meal of homemade soup. Kaiser Bakery and The Looking Glass will provide bread and desserts.

Dinner will be followed by a poetry and fiction reading. This year's readers are Dr. David Till, Helen Hobson, Doug Hurst and G'anne Harmon.

All proceeds benefit the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank. The suggested donation for the event is $5.
