Lake lots donated to APSU to be auctioned
October 9, 2001
An alumnus of Austin Peay State University, who has asked to remain anonymous, has come to the financial assistance of his alma mater through a donation of prime acreage near Kentucky Lake.
The land was donated to APSU in December 2000 with the stipulation that all proceeds from sales will go into a scholarship endowment. Two lots have been sold to date.
At 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, the remaining 30 lake-view and lake-area lots will be sold at auction, with all proceeds going into the scholarship endowment.
The lots are located in Quail Hollow on Kentucky Lake's Leatherwood Bay. The terms of the sale are 10 percent on the day of the sale, which will be used as the down payment, with closing within 30 days. Financing must be pre-arranged by the buyer.
Directions from Clarksville to the auction site are: Take Highway 79 to Dover; go seven miles to Highway 232 on left; seven miles to Brownsfield on right; four miles to Leatherwood Bay on left; 0.8 miles to Bobcat Trail on left. Follow the signs to the auction.
