Kentucky plans to expand online courses for high school students

Despite a budget deficit, Kentucky lawmakers have pledged support of a plan to strengthen online offerings for high school students. Fifteen advanced-placement courses already are offered through the online education program called the Kentucky Virtual High School. According to an article in "The Chronicle of Higher Education," Gov. Paul Patton also is pushing to make an online math test available to high school students.
