"Help Yourself to Better Health." That's the invitation of a campus health fair coming up March 28.

The health fair is a one-stop wellness check to help Austin Peay students, staff and faculty find out what they're doing right and what they need to work on, says Tonia Rainier, wellness coordinator in the intramural department.

"Our goal is to educate participants about important health issues," she says. "We want them to come away with a plan of action for improving their lifestyles."

The health fair will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 in the Red Barn gymnasium and will include cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings; fitness assessments, body fat testing, eye and ear exams and even postural screenings.

The fair also will include talks on various health-related topics, including common overuse injuries, men's and women's health issues, diabetes, eating disorders and foot pain.

Special workshops will allow participants to learn more about topics of special interest, such as back pain and weight loss.

Plenty of door prizes will be given out throughout the day, including free eye exams, health club memberships and free sunglasses! Food also will be available, as several Clarksville restaurants and ARAMARK Campus Dining Service are participating.

To get even more from the event, bring a three-day food log and get a free dietary analysis.
