CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Every spring, the Austin Peay State University Candlelight Ball provides an evening of fine dining and dancing, while also allowing participants to support scholarships at Austin Peay State University, and this year’s event will include two signature auction items – a custom-designed diamond necklace and a Music City package featuring tickets to major Nashville events – valued at more than $5,000 each.

The auction will take place on March 16, during the 35th Annual Candlelight Ball at the Omni Nashville Hotel, with proceeds benefiting the Candlelight Ball Endowed Scholarship.

This year’s signature piece is the 14-karat rose gold necklace, set with a 1.02-carat champagne-colored diamond in the center. Full cut, round white diamonds are located on the necklace’s “mustache” halo mounting, with a hand-milgrain edge accent. Elliott Herzlich, husband of APSU President Alisa White and owner of Elliott’s Jewelers, designed the necklace exclusively for the Candlelight Ball.

The Music City Package is billed as the ball’s signature event, featuring two club-level tickets to the nationally televised 53rd annual CMA Awards, a club-level room at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel the night of the award show, a complimentary dinner at the Omni Hotel the night of the CMA Awards, a voucher for valet parking and free breakfast at the restaurant Little Fib. This package also includes 16 complimentary tickets to the Bridgestone Arena suite for the Mumford & Sons concert on March 22, along with two parking passes.

“Every year, our Candlelight Ball Committee finds incredible prizes for the auction, and I’m thrilled at the high-level items they acquired this year, because they’ll help us provide more scholarships to deserving Austin Peay students,” Nikki Loos Peterson, director of alumni relations, said.

This year’s auction items also include:
