Donations sought for charitable effort
November 19, 2001
Pledges for the APSU/TBR Teamwork 2001 Charitable Campaign are lagging. "They're just slightly more than 50 percent of what they were last year," says Dr. Carmen Reagan, director of the President's Emerging Leaders Program.
The total amount pledged in this year's campaign is about $11,000 as compared to last year's pledges of $20,000-plus and this year's goal of $25,000.
Reagan reminds everyone that the organizations and people affected by the donations aren't strangers but people we know and care about. "Members of our Austin Peay family--including administration, faculty, staff and alumni--are leaders, volunteers and benefactors of many of the organizations funded through this campaign," she says.
Contributions affect not only our neighbors but also our coworkers. "As stated in the campaign brochure, 'Your dollars truly do make a difference,' not only in our local community but right here at Austin Peay," Reagan says. "Please send in your pledge card today."
