Debate to focus on legalizing marijuana

Whether to legalize marijuana will be a topic of discussion next week at Austin Peay State University.

The public is invited to “The Great Debate: Heads vs. Feds” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. Seating is limited to 600 people and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event, sponsored by the APSU Govs Programming Council, is free.

Steve Hager, former editor of High Times Magazine, will debate Bob Stutman, a former officer with the New York City Drug Enforcement Agency, about the pros and cons of legalizing marijuana. The presentation will include a multimedia presentation, debate and question-and-answer session with the audience.
