Grammy-award-winning country music artist Linda Davis will perform at Austin Peay State University at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 21. Proceeds from the concert will be used to support Austin Peay's Athletic programs.
Davis scored a Grammy in 1993 with “Does He Love You,” a duet she recorded with Reba McIntire. In 1996 she won country music's Favorite Female Newcomer title. She has recorded five albums and released more than a dozen singles, including the top-10 hit “Some Things Are Meant To Be.”
A later release, “Shoot for the Moon,” was ranked in the top 30 on album charts and contained two top-60 singles.
Davis' latest album, produced through DreamWorks studio, is titled simply “I'm Yours.”
“On this project I'm really throwing away my inhibitions and just putting it out there musically,” Davis said of the “I'm Yours” album. “There's no holding back.” A single from the album, “I Wanna Remember This,” was featured on the “Black Dog” movie soundtrack.
