Austin Peay kicks off Coming Home 2004

The University's annual basketball homecoming will be celebrated with a week of activities, Feb. 22-28.

The week's schedule is as follows:

Sunday, Feb. 22
•The National Pan-Hellenic (NPHC) Soul Food Dinner will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.

Monday, Feb. 23
•The film “Madea's Class Reunion” will be shown at 5 p.m. in Java City, inside the University Center.
•NPHC Forum “What Do We Really Do” will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.

Tuesday, Feb. 24
•“A Stitch in Time” quilting bee runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.
•The Office of Counseling, Testing and Career Services sponsors a “Time Management Workshop” at 12:30 p.m. in UC 312.
•Austin Peay starts loading the bus at 4 p.m. with students interested in attending the Maya Angelou performance at Murray State University.
•The Lady Govs play Tennessee Tech at 5:15 p.m. in the Dunn Center. The men's game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 25
•AP Idol Jennifer Perry performs at noon in the Food Court.
•The Office of Counseling, Testing and Career Services sponsors a “Time Management Workshop” at noon in UC 312.
•The NPHC Black History Bowl will be played 3-5 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.
•“A Stitch in Time” quilting bee continues 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.
•“Peasoup” open mic night starts at 8:30 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.
•The Residence Hall Association's Spring Fling will be held 9 p.m.-midnight in the UC Ballroom.

Thursday, Feb. 26
•“A Stitch in Time” quilting bee enters its final session from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center.
•The John Hopkins Variety Show takes place 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the UC Food Court, lobby and cafeteria.
•Singer Deidre McCalla performs 4-5:30 p.m. in Java City inside the UC.
•The movie “American Wedding” will be shown at 8 p.m. in Clement Auditorium.

Friday, Feb. 27
•A pep rally will be held at noon in the UC lobby.
•“The Hat Man” will perform 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
•The NPHC's Miss Athena and Mr. Zeus Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. in Clement Auditorium.

Saturday, Feb. 28
•The movie “Radio” will be shown at 10 a.m. in Java City.
•The Office of Student Life and Leadership, University Advancement and the Governors Club are providing free hamburger and hot dogs with all the trimmings at 4:45 p.m. in the top level of the Dunn Center before the Govs play Eastern Kentucky.
•The Lady Govs play Eastern Kentucky at 5:30 p.m. in the Dunn Center. The men's game starts at 7:30 p.m.
