On the heels of a national award for "InnerAction," the University's electronic faculty and staff newsletter, Austin Peay has won another national award.
APSU took a Silver Award in the 16th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards competition for its "Got Dreams? Get a Degree" newspaper ad campaign. The University competed in the category of colleges and universities nationwide having 5,000 to 9,000 students.
"Got Dreams? Get a Degree" was the theme for an intensive, short-term campaign launched in June 2000 targeting young adults in an under-educated labor market.
The campaign was produced in-house by Debbie Denton, marketing manager; Bill Persinger, assistant director for graphic design, and Charlotte Carlin, graphic design manager. Persinger also shot the photographs for the campaign.
