APSU to present Second Annual Holiday Feast
November 12, 2001
Austin Peay's Department of Music will present its second annual "Holiday Feast" Dec. 1 in the music/mass communication building. The feast begins at 6 p.m., followed by Austin Peay Opera Theatre productions of the Christmas operas "Amahl and the Night Visitors" by Gian-Carlo Menotti and "St. Nicholas" by Mark Schwiezer and Richard Shepherd at 7:30 p.m.
The feast serves as a fundraiser for the department of music's development fund. APSU students will entertain dinner guests with songs and music of the season while they enjoy the company of friends far and near. "This holiday celebration promises to be a great welcome to the holidays," says Dr. Allen Henderson, professor and chair of the department of music.
Admission to the feast and performance is $35 per person. Tickets to the performance only are $12 adults, $5 students. Advance reservations can be made by calling 7818. Reservations must be made for the feast no later than Nov. 26. The operas will be repeated at a Sunday matinee performance at 3 p.m., Dec. 2.
