The Austin Peay State University Department of Public Management and Criminal Justice and the Institute for Global Security Studies will host a symposium, titled “ Economic Terrorism,” this week.

The symposium, open to the public, will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 in room 201 of the Austin Peay Center @ Fort Campbell building on Bastogne Avenue at Fort Campbell, Ky.

The keynote speaker will be Kevin D. Freeman, author of the book “Secret Weapon,” which discusses how America’s foreign enemies are pushing the U.S. economy over the brink and how the actions of Wall Street and Washington, D.C., have created a vulnerability that could destroy the American way of life.

Freeman will talk about China, its currency manipulation and effect on the U.S. economy, among other related issues.

He will be available for a question-and-answer session after his talk.
