Several faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University were noted recently for various accomplishments.
Dr. Jonniann Butterfield, assistant professor in sociology, co-authored an article, titled “Mothers, Fathers, and “Mathers”: Negotiating a Lesbian Co-parental Identity.” It is published in the April 2011 issue of Gender and Society.
Dr. Linda Davis, associate professor of languages and literature, had her review of a book, titled “Content and Language Integrated Learning Evidence from Research in Europe” by Yolanda Ruiz and Rosa Maria Jeminex Catalan, published in the Summer 2011 edition of The Modern Language Journal.
Dr. Chinyere Ogbonna-McGruder, associate professor and program manager of public management and criminal justice, published two articles. One article, co-authored with her student Eric Martin, is titled “Tennessee Campaign Contributions and General Assembly Legislation,” published in the July 2011 International Journal of Accounting Information Science and Leadership. The second article is titled “Effects of TennCare on Tennessee Hospitals,” published in the May 2011 International Journal of Social Health Information Management. Former student Paul Burns assisted her on the research for this article.
Tina Massey, office supervisor in Public Relations and Marketing, received a Master of Science in management degree during Summer Commencement in August at APSU.
Monica Wirts, prospect research manager in University Advancement, received a Master of Science in management degree during Summer Commencement in August at APSU.
