Freshmen perform service work for community

Freshmen perform service work in August.

On Saturday, Aug. 26, the Austin Peay State University Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement hosted Austin Peay’s second annual Freshman Service Project (FSP) as part of APEX weekend.

Approximately 150 students attended the food packaging event that partnered with Nashville organization Rise Against Hunger. More than 10,000 meals were packaged for worldwide distribution. The FSP is one of many campus wide service opportunities sponsored by the CSLCE and is part of APEX weekend to introduce incoming Govs to community service.
