1. Apply to the College of Graduate Studies:
NOTE: Master of Music students are exempt from taking the GRE.

2. Schedule an audition.
Students must schedule an audition with the departmental Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Ann Silverberg.
An accompanist will be provided if applicants send the copies of audition music to Anne Marie Padelford (Staff Accompanist and Coordinator of Accompanying) at least two weeks prior to the audition.

Auditions are normally held on selected Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 P.M. If there are extenuating circumstances, alternate audition arrangements may be made. Those who wish to be considered for an assistantship must audition by the last week of March.
3. Recommendation letters and transcripts
Submit three letters of reference and your official undergraduate transcripts to:

Additional admission requirements are listed below for each concentration in the Master of Music degree. For concentration options and specific requirements for each, please see the Department of Music section of the current Graduate Bulletin.
Graduate Assistantships are available for fall and spring semesters to students by competitive audition and include stipends of varying amounts and out-of-state tuition fee waivers. (Note: The audition must take place by the last week of March in order to be considered for a graduate assistantship).
