Alexander RockwellAlexander Rockwell is a classical guitarist from Saratoga Springs, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from SUNY Fredonia a Master of Music in Performance from Austin Peay State University.

Mr. Rockwell began his classical guitar studies with Micah Scoville at SUNY Adirondack, attending with a full academic scholarship. He graduated with an Associate of Science in Music in May 2013, and received the Parnassus Award for Excellence in Music Performance. He continued his studies at SUNY Fredonia with James Piorkowski. At Fredonia, he was a winner of the Oasis Guitar Jury Prize and a three-time recipient of the Trinity Guitars Guitarist of the Month Award. He then completed his Master's at APSU under the instruction of Dr. Stanley Yates as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Music. He has performed in masterclasses with Duo Scarlatti, Roland Dyens, José Antonio Escobar, Richard Falkenstein, Fabio Federico, Nicholas Goluses, Gregg Goodhart, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Ana Vidovic, and Jason Vieaux. Additionally, He was a member of the esteemed Fredonia Guitar Quartet, with whom he performed in many locations across New York State. Recent performances include a concert at the University of Oregon Art Museum in conjunction with the Oregon Bach Festival, a duet concert as part of APSU Guitar Fest, and an appearance as concerto soloist with the APSU Symphony Orchestra. He was a winner of the Beethoven Club Young Artist Competition and the APSU Concerto Competition.
