The Honor Orchestra Festival is designed for high school student string players grades 9-12 upon recommendation of the orchestra director or private teacher.

To apply, students must submit a completed application and teachers must complete the teacher recommendation form. Online application and teacher recommendation forms coming soon.

The clinic fee for each Honor Orchestra student selected is $25, which includes lunch and dinner on Friday in the APSU food court and one student ticket to the Brentano String Quartet Friday evening. This fee is due at registration on Sept. 26.

Students selected to participate will arrive on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 26 for the seating audition and evening rehearsal.

Out-of-town students must be accompanied by the orchestra director, private teacher, or a designated parent chaperone. Chaperones must remain on the APSU campus or have a cell phone number to be reached for emergencies while students participate in the festival. Students, orchestra directors or teachers, and parent chaperones will need to make arrangements for housing in the Clarksville area hotels. Local residents may opt to stay at home.
