Summary of Rule Changes for 2004 MTSEF

1. Students in grades 6-8 will compete by grade for APSU awards. Students in grades 9-12 will compete by category for APSU awards. All students will compete for local and international awards.

2. Engineering will be a combined category for this year and will not be split.

3. There will be no cross-listing of projects. Judges will be instructed to look for best science project in a category (and not just the best category project) as long as it involves that category discipline. Students should look carefully at project categories. The MTSEF reserves the right to change requested categories based on the abstract.
