Resources For Students

Student resources for engaging in research.

Students across many disciplines may wish to get involved in research here at APSU in the area of Military Life.  A good place to start would be to scan the research interests of the Center's affiliated faculty.  Each faculty member would be pleased to meet with you personally to discuss their current research projects.

Faculty in some departments (e.g. Psychology below) may be able to direct you to specific resources both on and off campus to help students get involved in research.

Psychology

The American Psychological Association includes Division 19: The Society for Military Psychology.  The Society sponsors a Journal, a newsletter, and an annual meeting.  The website for the Division 19 can be found here:

The Society for Military Psychology has student membership and a substantial number of student resources.  These include awards for doing research in the area, namely Research Grant Awards and Student Travel Awards to the APA Annual Convention.  Information on these can be found via the links below:

The Society for Military Psychology also sponsors local student chapters.  APSU currently does not have a student chapter.
