What do students do after graduation?

Graduates work as Medical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Researchers, Forensic Scientists, Medical Laboratory Directors, Professors, Instrument Development and Technical Service Representatives, Public Health Scientists, and Laboratory Information Systems Specialists.  Alumni can be found working in hospitals, medical and research laboratories, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, medical and pharmeceutical companies, universities, and public health laboratories.  

Sample Course Work

Students complete the core courses and numerous Medical Laboratory Science courses such as MTEC 3760 Immunology & Serology, MTEC 3910 Fundamental of Hematology, MTEC 4910 Hematology, MTEC 4950 Immunohematology, MTEC 4920 Molecular Diagnostics, MTEC 4970 Clinical Chemistry, and numerous Clinical courses.  All studnets complete clinical courses at an area hospital laboratory during their senior year.
