On June 12,
legendary country/pop music star Lee Greenwood will perform in the
concert theatre of APSU's music/mass communication building.
Proceeds from the 7:30 p.m. concert will benefit APSU's
athletics program.
Greenwood is a case-study in how to sustain popularity in show
business. His career, launched as a sax player when he was only 10
years old, reached a crescendo in the mid-80s to early '90s when,
among many honors, he was twice voted CMA's Male Vocalist of the
Year and received a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance.
After 20 albums, 13 coast-to-coast tours, numerous TV
appearances and hundreds of radio interviews, Greenwood has proven
he has "staying power," as a star. His ongoing, successful tours
and packed performances in the Lee Greenwood Theater, Sevierville,
Tenn., reflect his fans' devotion.
This summer, Greenwood brings his high-energy show to Austin
Peay! For a great night of entertainment and to support APSU
athletics, plan to attend.
