Matt is an associate professor in the Department of
Mathematics at Austin Peay. He received a B.S. from
Middle Tennessee State University in 1999, with majors in
mathematics and physics. In 2004 he received an M.S. in
Operations Research from Georgia Tech, and in 2005 a
Ph.D. from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering
at Georgia Tech.
Matt joined the faculty of Austin Peay in the fall of
2005. His current research interests are in areas of applied
probability and stochastic processes, including thinning and
convergence of point processes, as well as species
competition and epidemic models.
