Social Work Practice Methods II

This is a web-enhanced course.  Class still meets as in a regular course.  However, we will be using Blackboard as well as the Internet.  If you have not been introduced to Blackboard, don't worry.  We will go through some orientation during the beginning of class and gradually learn more about using all the different features of Blackboard.  I will be posting my lecture notes on Blackboard, posting your assignments, posting discussion forums I will want you to be involved in as well as giving multiple choice quizzes.  It will be fun!

Hopefully, you are familiar with the computer labs on campus and are using them.  You may also have a computer at home.  The course will require basic word processing skills and access to the Internet.  In terms of word processing software, you will be asked to use Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect.  Using e-mail will also be required in the course.  You will need to activate your campus e-mail account for that purpose.

If you click on syllabus below you will see last year's syllabus for the course.  I will be changing the format of the syllabus as well as incorporating content on technology.  The social work content will remain much the same.
