When You Arrive in Clarksville

  1. New and transferring F-1 and J-1 students should plan to arrive in Clarksville before orientation and classes are scheduled to start. Please call or come by the Office of International Education (931-221-6851) when you arrive in Clarksville – we want to know you have arrived safely!
  2. All international students must make an appointment to meet with Kay Wadia of the Office of Admissions. Bring all of the following items to the Office of Admissions appointment: your passport, visa and I-20. Please be on time and expect this process to take 30 to 45 minutes. If you arrive at Admissions without an appointment, the staff may be busy with other students and unable to help you until later.
  3. Following that appointment you will need to see Leslie or Donna at Health Services (no appointment necessary).  J-1 students, new and transferring F-1 students must bring all of the following items to the Health Services appointment: proof of health insurance equal to or greater than the TBR contracted policy, proof of two MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)  immunizations, chicken pox immunization (if not already submitted), and proof of a negative tuberculosis test from within 30 days of your arrival to the United States (BCG not acceptable), or a letter from your doctor stating that you are TB free. If you plan on living on campus, you must have received a meningitis shot from within the last 5 years.
