The Bridge Program is an organization of international students and American students enrolled at APSU and is designed to help international students explore American culture and history while teaching First Friends (selected APSU American students) about the culture and history of the international students. This is accomplished through monthly discussions, educational activities and group excursions. First Friends provide support, guidance and friendship as the international student adapts to the university setting.
A student interested in participating in the Bridge Program as a First Friend must meet the eligibility requirements and submit a completed application before the deadline. Selected applicants will be asked to participate in an interview selection process. Accepted applicants will be notified by their APSU email accounts of their acceptance into the program. Previous First Friends wishing to re-apply must also complete this application by the appropriate deadline.
Who is eligible: Applicants must be full-time students who have paid the program service fee. Applicants must have completed at least one full semester at APSU, have a record of enrollment and a G.P.A. of at least 2.5 on file. Applicants must have no history of formal or informal student code of conduct violations.
Deadline: The deadline for Spring 2014.
