APSU to offer classes at Renaissance Center 11/18/2008
Austin Peay State University plans to offer college courses on site at the Renaissance Center in Dickson as a result of continued negotiations between the University and the Jackson Foundation.
Austin Peay is collaborating with Nashville State Community College toward plans to offer degree programs in business, and possibly other areas, at the Renaissance Center beginning Fall 2009. Details of the degree programs and other course offerings will be announced once plans are finalized.
The Renaissance Center, established in 1999 by the Jackson Foundation, is a state-of-the-art facility using the latest technology to promote a variety of educational programs and initiatives.
Initial plans allow Austin Peay to provide higher education to residents in the Dickson County area through the use of the Renaissance Center’s unique high-tech facility. -- Bill Persinger
