We are pleased to announce an educational campaign on the State of Tennessee’s group long-term care insurance plan—LTC-TN. Enrollment in this benefit is open with full medical underwriting for all actively-at-work full-time employees, your spouse, dependent children 18-26, parents, parents-in-law and survivors as well as retirees of Austin Peay State University. New hires have 90 days from date of hire to enroll with no health questions. There is no maximum age to apply, except for dependent children.
LTC-TN is offered to you by MedAmerica Insurance Company, a recognized industry leader providing LTC insurance coverage since 1987. MedAmerica is a fully-owned subsidiary of a $5 billion not-for-profit health care company that has been financing and delivering health care services for more than 70 years.
If you have ever been a caregiver to a loved one or had to make the decision to place a family member in a care setting, you know how stressful that experience can be. Long-term care insurance will pay a claim when a doctor can certify that you are expected to need help at least 90 days with at least two of the basic daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or getting from the bed to a chair. It will also pay if you have a severe cognitive impairment and need constant supervision.
These are some of the key points to consider as you evaluate this opportunity:
During the next few weeks, you will receive additional information on how long-term care insurance can help protect your family’s lifestyle and financial security, in addition to information on benefits, sample premiums and how to enroll with payroll deduction. Educational meetings will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, Room 305, UniversityCenter. Personal telephone consultations and brochures are available at http://www.gotltci.com/ltciconsultations/ltc-tn and you can contact Pennye Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or 888-400-1118 with any questions. Please watch your e-mail for more information.
MedAmerica representatives will be on campus on Thursday, February 28 to provide information about the state’s Long Term Care Program. One session will be held at 10 a. m. and the other at 2 p.m. Both will be held in UC Room 305. RSVP for the session that is best for you.
