Clerical and Support Staff Maintenance Fee Payment Program
This program provides tuition or maintenance and related fees for regular clerical and supporting staff employees who takes credit courses in a degree program and who takes the courses at the University or at another Tennessee public institution while continuing work responsibilities at Austin Peay. To be eligible for this program, an employee must have been employed by the institution for at least six months. Eligible part-time employees shall receive a pro rata discount based upon the employee's percentage of work effort. Employees with prior temporary service immediately preceding regular employment shall receive credit for such service if they qualify for leave accrual and longevity adjustments.

Educational Assistance (Student Fee Discount) for Spouses and Dependent Children of Employees
The purpose of this program is to assist regular employees of the System
institutions and area vocational-technical schools, and the Board Office by
providing a student fee discount for their spouses and dependent children when
enrolled in undergraduate courses at any of the institutions in either the TBR
or the University of Tennessee systems. The amount of the fee discount shall be
no more than one-half of the undergraduate maintenance fee and is not applicable
to other fees. The discount does not apply to correspondence or non-credit
courses. Eligible part-time employees must have one or more years of continuous
service within either System working a minimum of 50 percent. Eligible part-time
employees shall receive a pro rata discount based upon the employee's percentage
of work effort. (Part-time employees with temporary service immediately
preceding regular service shall receive credit for such service if they are
eligible for leave accrual adjustments.)

Employee Audit Program/Non-Credit Program
This program allows employees to audit either credit or non-credit courses while continuing work responsibilities at Austin Peay. Non-credit courses are limited to on campus courses only and must be job related and contribute directly to the performance of duties within the employees office. Requests with appropriate justification will be forwarded through supervisory channels to the division head. The division head is the final approval authority for the request and will either approve or disapprove the action. Disapprovals may be based upon lack of funding or other appropriate reasons as determined by the division head.
To be eligible for this program, an employee must have been employed by the institution for at least six months. Employees with temporary service immediately preceding regular employment shall receive credit for such service if they qualify for leave accrual and longevity adjustments. Faculty or Administrative/Professional Staff Grant-in-Aid Program
This program is designed to provide tuition or maintenance and related fees and/or living allowance for regular faculty and administrative/professional employees who, on an approved leave of absence, is enrolled on a full-time basis in credit courses. The grant-in-aid is intended to serve as a means of institutional development as well as individual professional development. Faculty or Administrative/Professional Staff Tuition or Maintenance Fee Reimbursement Program
This program provides tuition or maintenance and related fees for regular faculty and
administrative/ professional employees who take credit courses on a part-time basis, either at the University or another institution, while continuing work responsibilities at Austin Peay. To be eligible for this program, an employee must have been employed by the institution for at least six months. Employees with temporary service immediately preceding regular employment shall receive credit for such service if they qualify for leave accrual and longevity adjustments. Faculty, Administrators and Support Staff Fees Waiver at any TN Public Postsecondary Institution (PC 191)
This program provides for waiver of fees to all regular full-time employees at the University to enroll in one graduate or undergraduate course per term, on a space available basis at any Tennessee public postsecondary institution pursuant to Chapter 191 of the Public Acts of 1985. All courses must be credit courses, and employees must request annual leave or appropriate time off to attend courses during work hours. For more detailed information, see
