The first
Civil Rights Act was instituted in 1866 along with
subsequent acts and laws established to end
harassment and discrimination.
The strides toward Equal Employment Opportunity
came to a climax during the Civil Rights Movement of
the 1960s when the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was
instituted along with its subsequent amendments.
Title IV, Title VI, Title VII and Title IX of
the Civil Rights Act (CRA) of 1964 and its
amendments are only some of the operative guidelines
for Equal Employment Opportunity.
