Blount Hall - Beginning Fall 2007 coeducational
honors hall
Blount Hall is a three story air-conditioned, smoke-free
residence hall. Double occupancy rooms are arranged in
four-person suites (Virtual
Room Tour)--two bedrooms sharing a connecting single
bathroom. Lobbies, located on the first and second floors, are
equipped with televisions and kitchen facilities. There is a
telephone jack and a cablevision jack in each room. Laundry
facilities and vending machines are located in the basement.
Blount Hall also has a private "annex" area of four rooms on
each floor. The "annex" rooms are furnished in the same way
as the suite rooms, except annex rooms vary in size and are
set up so that four bedrooms share a community bath. Private
annex rooms are conducive to study because they are quieter
and less prone to traffic.
Doors to Blount Hall are locked for security and are
equipped with combination locks so that only Blount
residents can enter the building.
The more traditional style hall living. Access to your room
is through a main lobby and enclosed hallway. Residents of
Harvill Hall must have at least a 3.0 GPA, or an ACT of +21
(for new freshman students).
