Congratluations to Dr. Minoa Uffelman on the publication of her book The Diary of Nannie Haskins Williams: A Southern Woman’s Story of Rebellion and Reconstruction, 1863-1890 as part of the University of Tennessee Press's “Voices of the Civil War” series.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Theta-Delta has received this honor. In addition, Theta-Delta received the Nels A. Cleven award. To celebrate this continued success, President Hall posed with students and faculty in front of the arch at the intersection of College and University.
Dr. Steinberg, a Russian specialist, takes over following the retirement of Dr. Dewey Browder and a nationwide search for a replacement.
In May Dr. Minoa Uffelman appeared in a new Civil War documentary on Nashville Public Television, where she discussed the occupation of Clarksville. The show was the latest in the "Tennessee Civil War 150" series, made possible in part by The Tennessee National Heritage Area, the Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Sesquicentennial Commission.
