Twenty-one semester hours are required for a minor in history.

The sequence in American History (History 2010 and 2020) is required for the minor, as well as being required for graduation.  (History of Tennessee 2030 may be substituted for three of these hours.)

The sequence in World History (History 1210 and 1220) is also required.

Nine additional semester hours of history are also required, making a total of 21 hours.

• History 2010 and 2020 (6 hours)
• History 1210 and 1220 (6 hours)
• Three additional upper division history courses (9 hours)
