Kelly Anderson

I am currently a M.A. candidate in the Dwayne Estes lab at Austin Peay State University conducting floristic research on the riverscour communities. Additionally I teach the lecture and lab for Principles of Life Biology to undergraduates at Austin Peay. Before I started my graduate carear I worked as a horticulturlist growing perrenials at a nursury in Ohio. Over time I developed a desire to learn about native floristics in the hopes merging my background in horticulture with my botanical studies in graduate school. In this way I would like to assist in the restoration and conservation of native plant species in Southeastern States. Curriculum vitae available upon request. Please email me at andersonka@apsu.edu.

Research Interests

As a masters student at Austin Peay I conducted a vascular flora of the riverscour communities on the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River on the Southern Table Plateau in Blount County, Alabama. In addition to my thesis research I find interest in community ecology, ecological restoration, aquatic ecology, biogeography and native plant horticulture.
