Once you have E-Term open go to 1. File 2. Page Setup 3. In the bottom Right Corner there is an Options Button, click the Options Button. 4. In the top Right Hand Corner there is a check box, Force Black on White. 5. Check this check box.

If a toolbar that you want is not visible, choose View from the menu bar, and point to Toolbars. A list of available toolbars appears. Choose the desired toolbar.

If the toolbar appears as a small window that covers part of your document, you can place it on the big toolbar at the top of the window by grabbing it with the mouse, and moving it up there.

FTP Serv-U

24.  Permission Denied
If you get an error that says “Permission Denied” when you try to FTP to your machine, you have not given yourself full-privileges in Serv-U setup. In the Serv-U screen, go to “Setup” and then ‘Users” and check all of the boxes in "access rules".

25.  What is my IP Address?
To find your IP Address, with Serv-U software installed, run the command prompt. To do this, click “Start” then “Programs”, “Applications”, and “Command Prompt”, and then type “ipconfig/all”. A box appears that lists, among other items, your IP address. Write it down for future use.
 

26.  Connection Refused
If you get an error like:
%MULTINET-F-ECONNREFUSED, Connection refused
then Serv-U is not running on your PC. Start the Serv-U software and try connecting again.
 

27.  Not Logged In
If FTP gives you an error saying “Not Logged In”, then you will have to quit FTP and try connecting again. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it in Serv-U from the “Setup”>”Users” dialog.

 

28.  Resetting Your Serv-U Password
If you have forgotten your password for Serv-U, then you can reset it. Open the Serv-U window, and then select “Users” from the “Setup” menu. Type your new password in the “Password” field. It will appear as you type it, but will later be encrypted.
