Peer Mentor Program - First Year Students

Program Description

First year students, including transfers, are paired with peer mentors who are connected with the Hispanic Cultural Center.  The peer mentors, APSU upperclass students are there to provide first year students with support and guidance. The goal of the program is to help students feel connected to the university and Hispanic Cultural Center in order to enhance first year success and increase retention of Hispanic students at APSU.

Mentees - First Year students of Hispanic heritage

The Peer Mentee is a first year or transfer APSU student, who will have the opportunity to be encouraged, educated, guided, and advised by an upperclassmen. The program is especially for Hispanic students but open to any freshman or transfer student with an interest in Spanish or Hispanic culture. To apply to be a mentee in the program complete the below form.
