Hispanic Heritage Month

Purpose

APSU departments and student organizations are invited to participate in a university-wide celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month which is from September 15 – October 15.   

In order to help promote department’s events on a greater scale and to create a university-wide celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee is being organized.  Should your department plan to organize an event that highlights Hispanic culture, we welcome you to submit the participation form.

The benefits of participating in the Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee include:

• Free promotion on a university-wide calendar.  All HHM events will be listed on a calendar that will be distributed to all residence halls, and academic buildings.
• Active participation in a university-wide initiative that fosters a positive campus climate and embraces diversity.
• Eligible participation to include in APSU Diversity Task Force Diversity Action Plan (annual report required of all campus departments).
