Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. was founded December 4, 1906 on the campus of Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. The Tau Phi Chapter was chartered on March 1, 2009 on the campus of Austin Peay State University.

National projects are Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. main objectives; they promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for the communities. The national projects are Go-to-High School Go-to College, Project Alpha, and Voteless People is a Hopeless People.

The Tau Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. with its short year being on the campus of APSU prove to the APSU community that community service is a way of life not something to just jot down on a list of accomplishment. The Tau Phi Chapter volunteers countless amounts of hours at the Salvation Army and is very involved with its juvenile mentoring program. The chapter is still growing and is acquiring more skills to be a positive image of the APSU campus.
